to embed shorts using an iframe?   first click share on any regular video, then click embed, then copy that iframe, and paste that where you intend to post.  click share for the short in youtube.  copy that link and replace the link in the shareable iframe from the other video.  either replace the word "shorts" with "embed" (or only substitute the identifying information for the short with the info for the shareable iframe to begin with).  you'll probably want to change the height and width too.  you can also just view the source of this page for two examples.
