checking back reminded me to look up some of the recommendations from this forum and other places online.

one of the first synths mentioned has a new look and lots of new features.

however, it's not a *.dll file this time.

personal reminder for if later: bring the charlatan³ down in the mix and bring down the higher octave part a bit more.  maybe add to the kick drum a bit after rerecording and editing the phrasing before adding voices.

kept it simple.  used only the downloaded today vst3 and only effects and an impulse drumkit from abelton live lite 10.  here's a google drive link to the *.als file:

would recommend taking time to consider before adding any software to a computer.  even when there isn't a compatibility problem, each piece of new software always has it's own learning curve which can feel overwhelming when trying to adapt production to many different programs at once.

similar to the charlatans?  maybe try: deducktion.

will go into more depth later, but i have also tried some other freeware while posting music online.

about the op-z by teenage engineering, i wasn't completely against getting one.  did look around and couldn't justify the expense of it or the ep-133 k.o. ii.  noticed though a difference in the two: the op-z doesn't seem to have replacement batteries available right now.  for some instances having an extra battery charged and ready is best.  [the k.o. ii does use replaceables.]

guess if you have an op-z with a dead battery you could get it repaired.  may check later to see if availability changes.

did have at least one thing i adjusted, but didn't use from the drumkit in the *.als files above.  you can find a *.wav and *.mp3 of it here: https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/17wvNoGQaHkTBVf-24BIcmt2F8UMdMpuu?usp=sharing

2/28/2025:

also from the same kvr forum post and from the bedroomproducersblog, tried pg-8x.

[ends with pg-8x init and is @ 106bpm.]
