while merrick garland apparently really meant that he and the doj were working the resultant caseload, from the attack on our nation's capitol building, starting at the bottom and progressing upward as evidence becomes available (sigh) the doj revealed recently that there is at least one grand jury interviewing possibly relevant former (current?) administration officials about their potential involvement in the seditious violent and non-violent attacks against our country's electoral process on january 6, 2021.

"Former Pence chief of staff Marc Short testified in front of a grand jury in DC on Friday, CNN has confirmed. Fellow Pence aide Greg Jacob testified in recent weeks as well, CNN has learned from a source close to the investigation."
